It is official, WinterPRIDE new dates!
Greetings from Whistler!
By all accounts, WinterPRIDE 2013 was another glowing success, however the final weekend had extraordinary compression due to the Chinese New Years and the new BC Family Day long weekend causing majority of the hotels to be sold out for the final weekend. Therefore, the traditional time slot for WinterPRIDE (first week of February) is no long a need period for the resort and we can expect ski tickets and accommodation rates to be reflected accordingly.
After discussing with some of the key Whistler partners we felt the last week of January (January 26 - Feb. 2nd) will be the best value in terms of room rates and ski passes for our guests and give the festival the biggest opportunity to grow. This week will also give the festival a stable time slot for the next several years which is important to many of our guests with Time Shares and Strata Condos which demand them to give 10+ months notice of use of their suite(s). We hope you will find the new week a positive move and will continue to support the festival. WinterPRIDE 2014 is January 26 - February 2nd.

Antwerp gets set to host Mr. Gay World + WorldOutgames:
The spectacular Opening Ceremony of the Antwerp worldOutgames on Saturday, August 3rd will take place on the biggest open-air square of Antwerp, a great podium with a specially designed 'A' catwalk (Antwerp's city logo) will host a fabulous show with international entertainment. Of course the traditional parade of the 5000+ athletes from more than 80 countries with national flags will give this opening a dazzling start.
The Mr. Gay World Grand Finale, where 25+ delegates from around the world will compete to become the next Mr. Gay World 2013, including Mr. Gay Canada's Danny Papadatos, surrounded by singers and dancers in an international musical show (August 4th) - a must see event! Edmonton Pride gets ready - June 6-16th
Summer Pride is heating up and GayWhistler is heading West to Winnipeg for Pride June 1-2 and then to Edmonton Pride June 6-16. Make sure you come out and say hi. While in Edmonton we will be looking for the next Mr. Gay Alberta on June 15th to come to Whistler for the National competition.
