BRECK Pride

Join us in Breckenridge, Colorado for Breck Pride April 2022

** POSTPONED **

The Breck Pride festival is a community generated initiative lead by Breckenridge Ski Resort and Breckenridge Tourism Office to support and celebrate the LGBTQ community by fostering an environment that every person can be out, proud, and living their best authentic self. Unfortunately in 2020, and now 2021, the festival will pause in-person celebrations based on guidance from our trusted public health officials. Breck Pride will continue to live on in our hearts and spirit with hopes of returning us together in 2022.

Breckenridge recognizes that our queer history has had its challenges over the years; however, we are proud of where we have come and where we are going.  Two men in 1960’s sought out Breckenridge to experience a deeper solitude and a safe space to be themselves. In addition to the vast mountain scenery, they were able to overcome adversity and slowly changed the minds and hearts of their neighbors. Nearly thirty years later (1992), that same community was one of only three in the State of Colorado to vote against Amendment 2, which sought to allow discrimination based on sexual identity.  Over the next thirty years Breckenridge continues to welcome and support diversity and inclusion. We look forward with great anticipation and excitement to welcome everyone back in 2022 with open arms. Until then, stay safe, be well, and continue to love each other.
