Club Med teams up with Cristal International Standards for a safer vacation experience.
Club Med is prepared to make your vacation as safe as it is unforgettable. The team at Club Med have a 70-year legacy and expertise in the hospitality industry. They have and continue to be committed to bring happiness, safety, consistency and the distinctive Club Med spirit to their guests. They have assembled an International Scientific Committee of specialized doctors and professors to bring you“Safe Together” ensuring a safe reopening of their resorts starting with Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida on June 12th.
The Club Med team has already begun making changes, from strengthened hygiene requirements and housekeeping standards, to planning for safe distancing at every step. They will reduce resort capacity, incorporate temperature checks, increase sanitization, expand digital services to limit lines, and much more.
The Club Med main guidelines and hygiene measures include:
✓ Staff wearing protective face coverings, while inside, preparing food, or cleaning.
✓ Staff wearing gloves in all food preparation and during cleaning protocols.
✓ Hand sanitizer available throughout the Resort.
✓ Deep cleaning reinforcement including sanitizing surfaces and equipment more frequently.
✓ Social distancing with floor markings.
✓ Limited number of guests and capacity with a maximum of 65% of resorts capacity.
✓ Guest’s temperature checks upon check-in and periodically during stay.
✓ Doctor or Nurse available 24/7 in the Resort.

Club Med Low density Resorts & open-air natural environment
✓ The resorts are, on average, more than 50 acres, with bungalow-style, low-rise buildings (generally less than 3 floors).
✓ The resorts are integrated in and respectful of the surrounding natural environment.
✓ The resorts will operate with capped capacity of 65% to enable safer social distancing and space.
Club Med processes will be Certified by Cristal a leading international organization focused on health, safety and risk management. These include the following:
✓ Certification Program by International Safety Audit Agency – Cristal, including new POSICheck COVID-19 Prevention Certification
✓ All protocols have been adapted to meet or exceed local regulations and are subject to modification as regulations change
